$3,000.00 raised of $3,000.00 goal

Runs from:

Monday, November 18, 2019 to Monday, April 6, 2020

Seven motivated mechanical engineering students, working on our degree capstone competition project, are going to Michigan State University on April 3rd to represent Lakehead University and the Thunder Bay community, in the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Human Powered Vehicle Challenge. This team of up and coming engineers will be pooling their knowledge to design and fabricate a quality Human Powered Vehicle to enter in competition against teams from various universities around North America and the world.

Funds will be used to cover material, manufacturing, testing, and travel expenses. A higher budget will allow the team to opt for more premium quality materials and manufacturing processes, as well as more accurate prototyping and testing. With these, the team's vehicle will be safer, faster, and more efficient. Gifts are sincerely appreciated and would be of great assistance for the team to perform well while representing Lakehead University at ASME's 2020 International Human Powered Vehicle Challenge.
