Perinatal Care in Northern, Rural and Remote Communities

Perinatal Care in Northern, Rural and Remote Communities – Part 1 is a unique, interdisciplinary six-week course designed to build your knowledge and skills in perinatal health within the context of Northern, rural and remote health systems. Open to all backgrounds, it centers equity, anti-racism, and culturally safe care for Indigenous, Black, racialized, LGBTQ2S and other equity-seeking communities.

Learn to apply violence and trauma-responsive, person-centered practices across the full perinatal spectrum, including preconception to postpartum and newborn care. Engage with interactive content, join a peer community of practice, and learn how to bring evidence-based, context-specific care in Northern, rural and remote communities with a focus on Northern Ontario.
