Registration Details

Fill in all contact information and check all boxes that apply.
Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

Before registering, you must read and agree to the following:

I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age to participate in this program.

Important - Hiking and nature trail walks are a requirement of the workshops:
The nature of this program entails hiking and/or walking on municipally, provincially or federally defined trails. Participants with mobility related issues should connect with us via e-mail at "masternaturalist@lakeheadu.ca" to discuss the Program more fully and ensure appropriate accommodations can be made.

In addition to completing the modules, participants must also complete 30 hours of volunteer service for a host not-for-profit organization involved in local environmental or naturalist work. A list of organizations with the capacity to take on volunteers in a variety of areas will be made available to participants.

Note: transportation to Lakehead University's Orillia campus or to field locations is not provided with the registration fee. Participants also assume full responsibility for getting themselves to and from the session location on time. Because of the constraints on time imposed by the subject matter and accessibility to sites, there will be no refund for participants more than 10 minutes late for a module. "Makeup" modules will not be available until the following year. If it is necessary to cancel participation in a module (with more than 24 hours notice) the same module may be attended the following year at no extra charge.

Registration for the program is limited to 30 participants on a first come, first served basis.

Cancellation Policy: In the case of cancellation, we will offer a refund (less an administration fee of $50.00) up to one week prior to the start of the Program.

The cost of the Ontario Master Naturalist Program is $399.00 plus HST.

Included is the following:

  • Approximately 40 hours of classroom/field instruction
  • A "write-in-the-rain" notebook and pencil for field notes
  • A package of course material pertaining to every module, in the form of study notes, fact sheets, and other written information supporting the content of the module
