Thunder Wolf Racing is a team of 20 passionate engineering students and volunteers working to design and build our 17th student-built Formula-style race car. In 2026, we’ll represent Thunder Bay at the Formula SAE competition in Brooklyn, Michigan, where we'll compete against the top 100 universities from around the world at this internationally recognized event.

The car must meet rigorous design, performance, and safety standards, and will be evaluated in both static events (design, business, and cost reports) and dynamic events (acceleration, skidpad, autocross, and endurance). Through this project, our team bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world engineering by promoting innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Our projected budget for the 2026 season is $35,000. As a self-sustained team, we rely entirely on the support of sponsors and donors to fund
materials, manufacturing, and competition expenses. Every contribution directly impacts our ability to design, build, and compete.

Supporting Thunder Wolf Racing means investing in the hands-on education of future engineers. Your generosity helps ensure our team can
represent Thunder Bay at the Formula SAE competition in Michigan — and keep pushing the limits of student innovation.
