We need skilled nurses now more than ever. A state of the art mannequin will help prepare students in every year level for real world experience in the hospital environment.
The School of Nursing is pleased to announce an opportunity to match gifts to purchase a new state of the art mannequin. An anonymous donor has offered to match all gifts up to a maximum of $10,000.
"The unit is a specialized Advanced Cardiac Life Support mannequin that can simulate all kinds of scenarios", says Dr. Kristen Jones-Bonofiglio, Director of the School of Nursing, "and students in each year level will utilize it. Most importantly, it can support chest compressions in the Code Blue lab run in fourth-year which means students will have life-like practice before taking those skills to the in-hospital environment".
No funding has been received for this project yet, or all donors are wishing to remain anonymous.
